James Leposo Letura

James is from Ngoisusu in Ololosokwan Village where he lives with his two wives. Together they have 9 children - 6 boys and 3 girls. He also herds livestock including 9 cows, 40 goats, 30 sheep, and 2 dogs.

He began assisting the Maasai Honey project from the very beginning, first working as a handyman for apiary construction and small tasks. Later he began to assist the team with beekeeping and production. He now works as the Production Manager, overseeing activities in beeswax cosmetics production.

Prior to his work with Maasai Honey, he studied education in Endulin and Mwanza, Tanzania. Following his education he worked as a kindergarten teacher. In 2001, he also worked as a beekeeper for a community project created through AndBeyond. He sees beekeeping as a valuable way to support the environment and generate income. He enjoys assisting Maasai Honey with any tasks that arise.
