Meet the Women
Noongututi Langet
From: Ngoisusu, Ololosokwan Village
Noongututi lives in Ngoisusu with her four children, two boys and two girls. She is one of her husband’s two wives, and her co-wife has three children. She loves her family very much and is grateful for their development. Her family keeps chickens, cows, and sheep and Noongututi likes very much to look after the livestock.
She has been working with Maasai Honey since 2014 and has taken on a range of responsibilities. Noongututi is the leader of the women’s group, assisting with important communications that strengthen the unity and empowerment of the women’s beekeeping group. She also assists with management of the village office and oversees the honey stock records. Additionally, she manages logistics for a Maasai Honey outreach project that sends under-served children to school. In her work activities she especially enjoys collaborating with her co-workers, updating records as needed, labeling products, and organizing the office.
